Hi Lindsey,
Your energy is infectious! I loved the light-hearted, joyful enthusiasm you brought to the discussion. I’ll definitely benefit from all the insights you shared. First on my agenda is to work on my “cocktail pitch.” I, too, prefer this term over “elevator pitch.”
I’d like to share two recent personal reflections on confidence as a writer: Recently, I told my niece about a story I’m developing and was taken aback by her enthusiastic response. Then, at a recent book club discussion, I casually mentioned that I’m a writer, and I was blown away by how interested and excited everyone was. So, Lindsey, at least in my case, your experience rang true: we writers tend to keep a lid on what we do.
Jeff, thank you so much for offering this fantastic learning experience!
Lindsey, I look forward to following your work! My best to you both!
